The Muppets

Last weekend I went to see "The Muppets" which is quite obviously, the new Muppet film.
I went with MelduJour and I think that we were the only adults in the film who didn't have children with them.
IT WAS BRILLIANT. as th as the human cast members. e human cast members.
It was everything a muppet film should be. Funny, clever, catchy songs and uplifting. Miss Piggy was radiant. Kermit was inspiring and (spoiler alert) evil Fozzie looked like Ice T.

After the disappointment of "Muppets Wizard of Oz", it was nice to get back to a proper Muppet film. It's clearly been written by someone who has a deep love for all things muppety. Human cast members Amy Adams and Jason Segel were excellent. A week on and it's still making me laugh.

Very Good, The Muppets, Well done.

Talking of muppetty things, check out MelduJour's newest post and say hello to Hoggle. The cutest puppy ever.

Book 14

I've not blogged for a while, mainly because i have been very busy with my challenge.
Today I started book 14 - "The Owl Killers" by Karen Maitland. So far I have read:

She Wolves -Helen Castor
MIss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children - Ransome Riggs
American Gods - Neil Gaiman
What Happens Now - Jeremy Dyson
St Lucy's Home for Girls Raised by Wolves - Karen Russell
Duma Key - Stephen King
We have Always Lived in the Castle - Shirley Jackson
Lost Books of the Odyssey - Zach Mason
Atonement - Ian McEwan
The Infernal Desire Machines of Dr Hoffman - Angela Carter
After Dark My Sweet - Jim Thompson
Vacant Possession - Hilary Mantel
Company of Liars - Karen Maitland

I am keeping track of them  in a spreadsheet. A few have been passed on to Meldujour for her to read although she asks about most of them "Are they (the characters) dead?"  But she does ask that about everything.

I'm feeling quite proud of myself for staying on track (At least 3 of the books have been 500 pages plus).

Very good, VGWD, Well done.
